FootageDrop

Privacy policy

Last updated 27 September 2026

FootageDrop (the Mac app, the iPhone app and handoff.weareoneapps.com) is made by We Are One Apps, a UK business. This page explains what FootageDrop stores, why, and what you can do about it. Questions: info@weareoneapps.com.

Your footage stays in your own storage

Studios connect their own Backblaze B2 account. Footage, cuts for review, phone clips and file lists are uploaded straight from your devices to that account and downloaded straight from it. They do not pass through or get kept on our servers. We keep the studio's Backblaze key encrypted so we can issue short-lived links for people the studio has approved.

What we store

What we don't do

No advertising, no selling or sharing data for marketing, and no tracking across other apps or websites. The apps contain no third-party analytics or ad SDKs. Our websites count anonymous page views without cookies.

Who else handles data

Why

We use this information only to run FootageDrop for you and the studios you work with (to provide the service you asked for), to take payment, and to answer your questions.

How long we keep it

Account and project details are kept while your account or studio is active. Projects deleted by a studio are removed from our records, apart from invoices, which a studio may need to keep for its accounts. If you ask us to delete your account we remove your details within 30 days, except where the law requires us to keep billing records.

Your rights

You can ask to see, correct, export or delete your information, or object to how we use it, by emailing info@weareoneapps.com. A studio owner can remove people from their studio at any time in the app. You can also complain to the UK Information Commissioner's Office (ico.org.uk).

Children

FootageDrop is a tool for businesses and is not meant for children.

Changes

If we change this policy we'll update this page and the date at the top.
